Thread: Control question?

    Control question?

So I feel foolish not knowing this and I haven't been able to find an answer online or in this A99 book, but the camera is constantly changing fstop when its hanging on my side and I can't figure out how to lock all settings. Example being indoors shooting at f 2.8 and pick the camera up from my side and it's now f22...never had the issue with any other camera so I'm ignorant to possible solutions.

Are you perchance using the control wheel to adjust aperture? I've noticed that just about every knob and wheel and switch on my a6000 goes off and does its own thing when I'm carrying it about. It is a bit of a PITA to have to check each time you want to take a shot, but maybe it is Sony's way of encouraging us to think about our shots more, like the film days... .

So after shooting at f/2.8, you put the camera down for a while, and once you pick it up, it becomes f/22?

(I don't want to sound rude, but feel like I need to ask…)
Did you turn it off when you put it down?
Which shooting mode did you use?

Thumb wheel on the camera and battery grip does control aperture , I cannot shut the camera off when it's on my side. I may need to switch up the controls it seems.

Did you solve the mystery? What mode are shooting? Do you have auto-focus with eye start on?
