I got a chance to take some sample photos with the Sony Nex-5n last night and today. So far I’m definitely impressed with the image quality and the articulating screen! The A35 I just got done reviewing has a fixed LCD screen so the Nex-5n articulating screen was a welcomed back feature for sure. It makes it super easy to get low to the ground shots which I really like to do.
I’ll have the Full Res Sample Photo Gallery for Nex-5n up at some point today, and just like the Nex-C3 and Alpha 35 full res galleries I’ll be steadily adding photos to the gallery throughout this review cycle 😉 Also, be sure to check out my Hands On Review of the incredible Alpha 35 I just finished and of course the Nex-C3..
I shot all of these sample images in Aperture Priority mode (A), and I adjusted the ISO manually. They were all taken as full res highest quality Jpegs and exported from Lightroom 3 as Jpeg files re-sized to 1200px for the web. All the exif info is in the caption just below each image 🙂
Be sure to Click the images for a nice large Gallery style view!!
100% crop of the image above. Check me out in the reflection!! Notice how low I have the camera as I had the screen articulated upward.
In the next two shots all I did was adjust the Aperture from f/5.6 to f/10 in order to show off the Depth of Filed and bokeh.
Same shot as above, but with AutoHDR enabled at 6ev.
