Similar to my previous sample photos post, but this time I managed to get my hands on the Sony FE 135mm f/1.8 GM Lens and Flagship Sony A1 while at the incredible Sony Kando event last year at the Snowbird Resort in Utah…
The 135mm lens is one of my favorites for portrait portrait photography in particular. I really like isolating the subject and this lens does that like a champ. The incredible isolation effect can work for lots of different subjects in a variety of manors as well. I only used the lens for about 1 hour so I got a decent variety of sample photos for you to check out and help “real world” judge this gear.
Be sure to click on the photos for a larger view and on the lower right you can click the i for exif data. No real need though because I was @ f/1.8 pretty much the entire time… I love me some butter!

I can tell you for sure I love the 135mm GM Lens and combined with the A1 it’s just at another level in my opinion. There is an extra richness to these captures when compared to the gear I normally use for sure!
