For this video I took several short clips and combined them using iMovie. I then uploaded the finished movie directly to YouTube via iMovie as 1280 x 720. I did not do any color correction or video enhancement whatsoever. I want you to see the raw output of the camera. I can put some clips together and try and make it a little entertaining for you though!
Video clip info:
All the clips were taken with the Sony Nex-C3 in iA (intelligent Auto) Mode.
You’ll notice in the beginning when were leaving that the footage is a bit noisy. That is due to the extremely low light in the car where layla was. The Nex-C3 automatically bumped up the ISO to 1600 and hence the noise. The rest of the video is pretty noise free though.
I also wanted to note that Michele filmed most of this video as you will see myself holding Layla most of the time. The reason I mention this is because Michele does not have near as steady of a hand as I do, so you will see some pretty significant camera shake. The anti-shake feature was enabled on the camera just so you know. The focus was also struggling a bit as Layla kept moving in and out of the depth of field, forcing the camera to re-focus constantly.
I’m showing these raw videos to you, so you can see some real world examples of what this Nex-C3 does with an average user in auto mode. I will be taking some serious HD footage soon, and I will be using a tripod and manual mode. The results should be quite good I’m expecting 🙂
Here’s Layla going for ice cream for the first time:
