    1. Hello, you would need a Nikon F Mount to Sony E-Mount Lens adapter. I can’t say if the autofocus will work, because it really depends on the version of the lens and adapter, but here are options (CLick here)

      I hope that helps,
      Jay

    1. That is a great question Philip, but I would need to know what mount the Tamron lens is in order to recommend an adapter for you? Thanks, Jay

      1. What u mean by that?I use it on a Canon rebel 6ti,n I never had use a adapter before….but I want to upgrade to a Sony ar7 3….

        1. Well, it’s a Canon EF Mount if you were using it on the Canon rebel. That lens is a crop factor lens just so you know and the the Sony A7 III is a full frame camera, so the camera will default to crop factor mode when using that lens. I would consider getting a full frame E-Mount Lens for the best results and my guides are here >> As far as adapters go, I would recommend the Sigma MC-11 (Click Here)

          I hope that helps, Jay

  1. Hi. I am a holder of sony alpha A58 camera .. so i m looking for lens from tamron … suggest me with a best prime and tele lens

    1. Hello Pavan, In order to suggest a lens to you I would like a little more information please. The term best is relative to what you actually need the lens for? If I were picking the best options for somebody like myself it would the 70-200mm for a awesome telephoto zoom lens option, and a fast prime lens like the 35mm f/1.8 or 45mm f/1.8 for lower light and amazing depth of field play. However, you might prefer wide angle lenses for Landscape photography for example?

      Thanks,
      Jay

      1. But I see all the A Mount lenses are out of stock. Any suggestion if I want to upgrade my lens. I am using Sony Alpha A58.

  2. Hi, I have a Tamron SP 24-70MM F/2.8 Di VC USD G2 with EF mount for Canon. I now use it on my Canon Rebel (crop sensored camera).
I want to upgrade to a mirrorless camera. Thinking about a Sony mirrorless.
Can I use this lens on a Sony? And what mount adapter would I use?

    1. Hi Theresa and yes you should be able to use this lens on a Sony mirrorless camera with a EF to E-Mount lens adapter, but it will not work as good as a native Sony E-Mount lens just so you know. The Sigma MC-11 would be my recommendation, but there are other adapters out there as well. Jay

  3. Hi, I have a Tamron 150-600mm and currently using it with a nikon D810. Thinking of getting a mirrorless sony camera. will auto focus work?

  4. Hi! I have an A mount Tamron 90mm f 2.8 SP AF Macro ( 72 E) currently using a manual focus adapter on the Sony A7 II body. What kind of adapter would I need for auto focus, would the any of the Sony LA-EA adapters work? Thanks

  5. I have a Tamron 70-200 f.28 A mount. I am looking to attach it to my a6700 sony to use for sports hence autofocus is a must. Any recommendations on the adapter? I have a n LA-EA4 but the auto focus doesnt work.

    1. Hi there, I have doing some re-search trying to find out the answer to your question, but it is proving to be difficult. I remember hearing Sony will not support 3rd party lenses with there adapters such as the new LA-EA5, but all I can find is some lenses work and some lenses don’t. It’s optimized for Sony A-Mount lenses… So you could try the LA-Ea5 and if it doesn’t work send it back I suppose. Even if it does work, for sports in particular you are not going to get the best hit rate when using an adapter. Sorry I could not be of more help, Jay
