Winners Announced! Oben Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod Giveaway.

Hello everybody and in this quick article/ video I will be going over two Oben Tripod Giveaways courtesy of B&H Photo!! That is correct, I got two high value Oben carbon fiber travel tripods to giveaway!!!
The first travel tripod is a ultra compact lighter duty unit that supports up to 9lbs, and the second unit is also compact for travel, but is much more heavy duty and can support up to 26.4lbs!
So this first Oben CT-3535 Folding Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with BE-208T Ball Head will be great for lighter weight cameras like the Sony Mirrorless with a reasonable lens and all the point and shoot style cameras like the RX10 series, RX1R, RX100-series, etc…
The second tripod is the Oben CT-3581 Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with BE-126T Ball Head and it can handle much larger camera systems like DSLR’s with large lenses or mirrorless cameras with very large heavy lenses.
I will review both units, compare the differences between the two, and demonstrate how they work, so stay tuned for that in the next week or so…

Closing Remarks

Winners will be announced in the first week of January 2019!!
Well that is about it for this article and I can tell you the tripods are very nice! I just received them and took them out of the box to play with quickly and was very impressed with the quality. The ball heads feel very good and the knobs all have nice tolerances and feedback with my initial look. Also, the twist style leg locks are far http://sekshatti.link superior than the older latch style which my much heavier Manfrotto tripod has.

So stay tuned for the reviews and please let me know if you are interested in winning one of these tripods below in the comments area. If you are, then let me know which tripod you are interested in and tell me what you plan on using it for specifically. Also, what camera gear do you plan on using with the tripod? Then head over to my Youtube channel and subscribe if you are not already. The last thing you can do is show your support by purchasing something from BHPhoto using my Links and that is it, you are on the list to win one of these units!!

Please let me know your story in the comments area below, and by all means ask questions if you have them 😉
Jay

  1. Well for starters I started following you channel because I’m in the market for a Sony RX100VA and it’s currently sitting in my online B&H cart. But that’s not why I want the heavy duty tripod, (I’m buying the sony because it’s super portable) I want that tripod so that I can do some serious astrophotography with my Canon 6D I’m tried a few tripod ball head configurations but non handled the weight of the 6D with a 24-70 2.8 lens.
Where I live is also super windy which means I need somthing that can also handle a good counterbalance weight to keep the tripod stable. Long story short, I would send you one hell of a wallpaper for your computer if I got that tripod!

  2. I am interested in the travel tripod. Recently retired early and have taken up photography. Love, love, love it! I have aSony a6000 with assorted lenses. With a finicky back, I really need a lightweight tripod. Thanks! Follow you on Twitter and FB!

  3. I would like the Oben3581 Tripod but would be happy with either one. I have 2 Sony Camera’s. The Sony A99 and the A7r11. It would be perfect using this tripod with the 70/200mm and the 85mm/1.4 f. I read your articles all the time. Thanks for all the up dates on Sony

  4. Both tripods look amazing! I’m a Sony A7II shooter and I’d love either of the tripods! thanks for all your videos!

  5. I could really use the CT-3581 (the bigger one) for better stability for long exposure photography and improving my light painting skills 😀 (My LP instagram: @kirk_m_photo). I have a RX100iii and I just got a A7ii and going to check out your awesome lens guide and hope to pick one 😀

  6. Hi. I am interested in the Oben CT 3535. It looks like an amazing tripod that I could use while travelling and enjoying the sites in my retirement. I have never bothered to take along a tripod on my vacations, but this tripod looks so compact and light, that i would hardly notice the extra baggage and weight.
    I presently use a SONY A7R2.

  7. I wold like the Oben CT-3581 Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod due to the fact that I have a a77ii and will be buying the a99ii soon due to the number of alpha lenses I have. I like to shoot wildlife using a 70-400mm lens and need the greater stability

    1. I forgot to mention, that I am using of course Sony camera, SLT-A77V. I have so many objectives for A mount, that I am still hoping to get upgraded A77 III some day.
Have You heard any new rumours of that?

  8. Hi Jay, I’ve been following you for a while and I absolutely appreciate the hard work you are putting in testing all this great equipment. You are the reason why I started to put more love into photography having kids on my own and started to take some great pictures of their activity. I have recently invested a good chunk of my savings (with my wife breathing fire on my neck!!) in some Sony equipment. No question you have played an important role on my choices. I purchased a 99 mark 2 and a 6500 for travel. I still don’t have a decent tripod but wife will never allow me to spend more money on my hobby.. especially after all that equipment! I would love the CT3581 just because my a99ii is a heavy weight and the monopod will allow me to take it with me to use with the 6500 for travel. Wishing you the best, keep up with the great work! Cheers. Paolo

  9. I love macro photography, tripod will help me take better photo, so dear God in heaven, please let me win this $499 dollar tripod.

  10. I’d love to win this giveaway because I currently don’t have a reliable tripod at the moment.
I’ve been using the most an old tripod with no quick-release plate and loose screws. I hope I win. I’ve been trying to make YouTube videos <( ' . '<) and winning just one of these tripods would be such a blessing.
(Thanks Jay & B&H Photo) I hope I win! Good luck everyone.?
I'm going to be using the tripod for filming my own YouTube videos: skits, travel vlogs, and informational tutorials.

  11. Hi Jay, both of those tripods look amazing, and I especially like the larger one. I started doing volunteer photography for an organization in my area (Southern California) that provides resources and support for families who are adopting or fostering children. I have done one event and 4 family photo sessions this month for this organization, and if I won I would use the tripod for future volunteer opportunities that I participate in. I would also use the tripod to take pictures of my family and I. We have a two year old, and another on the way due in January. Thanks for a chance at these great prizes!

    1. YOu Won the Heavy Duty Oben CT-3381 Brandon!! Congrats and thank you for doing the work that you do for those foster kids and families. That is some serious good karma right there, and you totally deserve the tripod 😉
      Jay

      1. Thank you Jay and B&H Photo for this amazing prize! I appreciate the kind words, and I look forward to using the tripod in my future work with the organization!
