Sony XAVCS VS AVCHD Video Quality Comparison

This is a pretty interesting comparison video I just saw on SonyAlphaRumors, between Sony's XAVCS VS AVCHD video formats. The XAVCS is the higher quality format that is starting to show up on the Sony cameras like the A7s for example.

XAVCS VS AVCHD codec side by side comparison. Testing highlight control and detail retention in clips straight out of the Sony CX900 camcorder 1920 x 1080 60 fps.

    Thanks for the video clip.
To be honest, the difference is not that big.
Whatever Sony does, please make it easy to work with Mac.
(It took me a while to figure out how to load AVCHD on my Mac. )

Yeah, it to me a while to figure it out too. iMovie did the trick, but leaving the camera connected was new to me

YouTube is not the best place to show this, they compress files at import.
No problems with AVCHD on my 5/6 year old cheap Gateway laptop

How did you manage to do this Anthony? I used the Sony import app and iMovie/iPhoto and always get MP4s.
