Glide Gear SYL-500 Hand Held Video Stabilizer

Thinking of picking up the Glide Gear SYL-500
Looked into the SYL-3000, but might be overkill for the A6000.
There is also the SYL-1000.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge they can share about either of these?
Is there another brand that you would recommend?

Or forget about it...the A6000 doesn't "need" this contraption!

If you are using lenses with image stabilization like your SELP18105G, SELP1650, SEL55210, SEL50F18, SEL35F18 I wouldn't use anything (maybe monopod for stationary situation)
And how would you shoot low angle with that thing?

What I understand is that if I'm using the SELP18105G a hand held stabilizer shouldn't be required for smooth video, due to the OSS already in the lens?

I just find that the Glide Gear products are quite interesting and wondered if it would help improve my video projects.
First time working in video with a camera vs a camcorder.

I'm not so sure about low angle shots...

I'm used to the "SteadyShot" built into the Sony Handycam and would like to be able to reproduce it on the A6000.

I don't want to regret selling my camcorder for the SELP18105G.

Hi guys and great question Dragion I have never used one of those camera stabilizers, but they make sense from and engineering stand point and would certainly help smooth out the video. It's hard to hold a camera steady even with OSS because that is stabilizing the lens itself. This device distributes the load so you can't make and sudden jerky movements that are constantly happening when normally hand-holding.

I was able to get very smooth video with the A6000 and SELP18105G, but I have very steady hands and a ton of practice. If you want to easily get smoother video a rig like this would help for sure. Getting low to the ground would require digging a hole or another style rig with the handle on top. They look like a C shape usually.
