3 new bird breeds I have not seen before today.

Today I went out and tried out my new but secondhand Jeep.
So I headed for the bush to give a little go and was please.

But today I actually got to see 3 new breeds of birds I have not seen in our area before.
One which is the Pink- eared Duck and the beak is so different from anything I have ever seen before.
The next is what I think to be the Grey Teal Duck we have got many Brown ones but these are different to them.
And the last one is the Australasian Grebe, I 1st seen the baby but it then joined up with its mum or dad.
I was happy to get 3 new birds in the one day.

Love the shots Gramps, last one of the Grebes is my favorite.
Those first ducks have shoveler style bill, we have Northern Shovelers here.
They use those large bills to shovel thru the mud at bottom of the ponds.

Thank you everyone for your comment on this lot.
To get 3 different species in one day is really out of the bag for me.
That day I was out testing the Jeep and me to see how well I would go in it and I found this lake sort of thing.
It is actually a low in the ground where a lot of people come out with their motorbike and run around a made up track there.
And in the dip after the rain it filled up and these were there so I got them and I am happy to get that many in one day.
