    Like a6000 With More?

I am being lazy and not digging through all the spec sheets but does anyone know off hand if Sony offers a higher megapixel camera that has the same (or very, very close) size and weight as the a6000?

No, Sony does not offer anything yet in APS-C format with a higher MP count than 24mp to my knowledge...

I think 24MP is going to be around for few more years, not that Sony couldn't make new sensor with more MP's.
Problem is diffraction, image quality on 24 MP sensor is peaking at f5.6/6.3 aperture. If they solve that problem, than you can expect to see higher MP sensors.

    now that is interesting.
I once compared the Nokia Lumina 1020 41mp cellphone camera to an 18mp DSLR with a kit lens.
While the 41mp size was impressive, the 18mp APS with kit lens still yielded better image quality.
I suspect even a 12mp full frame sensor would even compete nicely against a APS 24mp in terms of diffraction throughout the aperture range.
Now, a 24mp full frame non-AAfiltered sensor in a a6000 sized body. That would be nice and a very logical step.

Any DSLR with any lens should give you better image quality than any phone.
I don't think Lumia (Lumina is a car ) ever used 41 MP image, if I remember correctly there was some pixel binning/downsampeling going on

Thanks for all the responses and amplification. I started out just sort of daydreaming that wouldn't it be nice if the forthcoming a7R ll had the same or similar weight/size specs as the a6000.
