    Sony A7R-II Battery Grip, VGC2EM.

Thinking of getting the Sony $348.00 Sony Grip?

Any thoughts, do I need it?

I liked the grip when I reviewed it on my A7r and it made the camera way easier to handhold with large lenses. The extra battery life was also a great feature. The downside is the larger size of course which arguable defeats the point of the small mirrorless cameras. I don't feel that way though, but I have heard others say that...

And here is a newer video courtesy of Miguel Quiles

Saw that video early this morning, thanks.

When shooting with the Sony 70-200mm G f/4.0 is when I think I would use it. I was out all day shooting with that lens today, love it.

I will put it on the maybe list, big car event in 2 weeks at Pocono Raceway, PA.

Sony SOVGC2EM is on order, coming tomorrow!

Just ordered it from B&H, coming tomorrow!

Two of my new Sony Lenses from B&H just went on sale $100 off on each, $200 hit...wow! Called B&H and got the credit card refunded for the two lenses, zero effort!!!

Since I just got back $200 I don't feel bad getting this Sony $348 Battery Grip!

Sony Battery Grip arrived tonight at 7pm.

Some lens & filter cleaning from the weekend first, fun later.

I think I will try it out with the A7R-II Battery Grip out for the first time with the Sony 70-200mm G f/4.0.

My Wendy's local car show is Thursday, good weather ahead! I will give it a try there.

May get the FE 55mm F1.8 for the wife, it's $100 off! I think she wants this as a walking around lens on her A6000 (it's her A6000, I've been hogging it).
