Thread: Zeiss Batis Lens Reviews

  1. #31

Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2, used your B&H link to order.

I had this lens on order before, canceled it when I knew it wouldn't be here for my Sept 2015 Panama Canal cruise. Didn't want it just sitting by the front door for a few weeks!

Wife now wants it for her Sony A6000 (it may get some use on my new Sony A7R-II, ya think). She has the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 on it now. The wife's shot below.

Saw it in stock on Amazon but as soon as I went to put it into my cart it was gone ...

    Such a high demand ...

Awesome news Dave and best of luck! The Zeiss boxes are awesome and usually show you the elements view and the lens view on the corners. As you open it the box it looks like what you see on the outside of the box sort of. Really nice packaging

    Lazy or restrained?

Haven't taken the Zeiss 25mm 2.0 out of the box yet.

It is a Christmas Gift for the wife.

I have been getting by with my Sony 90mm G f/2.8 Macro for now.

I'm curious if Batis line-up will even include say a 10/f?.?, maybe?

Those badazz 40+ mega images need something that gathers the whole world....just my humble opinion, and it should be noted until I can sell a lung and a kidney, perhaps part of a brain stem. I can't afford any of it.

    PS....not fisheye(those things are gross)

I find these images soft for some reason. I'm between the 85z and the old 55z, the 55 seems sharper but I want the OSS.
