This gear is actually not that new. But great fun anyway and works fine on my A7R. Asahi Pentax Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 28mm f3.5 with m42 screw mount. Bought the lens on eBay in Holland, the original lens hood I found in Austria.

Nice find Walter! Looks like a fun (new to you) old lens. Make sure and post a shot from it.

And here it is. Now many lessons needed to get it right.
So far not too bad just need to build up a few more muscles as it is quite heavy.

Got mine too. Back to the ios after 2 years..
The Xperia Z1 was not a bad phone, but the Android is just too bugged. And even after 2 years, I still dont get used with those big phones... the size of the iPhone 6 is just perfect. Wouldnt mind if was even smaller..

So, I was recently gifted a bunch of money to continue down my photography road. Not enough to not be frugal, but enough to allow me to do a lot of stuff. So, in the last month, here's what I've got:

A7II refurbished direct from Sony with lens $1500: So happy with this. Compared to my NEX-7... really? no comparison.

35mm f/2.8 Sony Zeiss lens $580, used: Mostly for street and panoramas on a budget. It's on it's way. Just couldn't blow the budget on the f/1.4 lens.
LA‑EA3, $199: Unfortunately, there are too many problems with using other adapters for sony a mount on the mark II bodies, so I had to go for this adapter.
70-210 beercan lens for $89, used: Shooting telephoto isn't my primary need right now. But I'm glad to get the lens just the same.
Yongnuo flash, umbrella, stand, remote $150: For this much money, I'm glad to learn how to do flash photography and portraits.
Sony Battery grip, $309, used: This is one of those items I felt that I would have been disappointed at some point going cheep. But I did get it used.
ON1 software suite

Yes, this is broadening set of equipment. And I'm putting learning ahead of focus at the moment. But, I believe that this will help me do that, have more fun, and above all, take more interesting photos.

Any sample photos from the 12MP sensor? I honestly always liked iPhone's image rendition. I'm a bit sad that I still have another year to go until I can upgrade but my standard 64GB iPhone6 serves me just fine.

antony and Panza, I also forgot to add that I got the Rokinon 14mm. That lens is soooo much fun! Yeah, It's a system is a good way of putting it. From here on out my gear will have to work for me instead of the other way around.

Rokinon makes beautiful lenses for landscapes and astral photography. It's also so wide that you shouldn't have to worry about focus so much.

14mm, 35mm, 70-210mm. Flash.

Just going to point out here ... It's a good strategy to be honest. You're supposed to go up by x2 increments on your previous lens in prime lens planning.

Alas, I have not bought much photography gear. Infact, I sold quite a bit to get rid of unused Nikon and misc. glass. I did purchase a smaller more "travel friendly" LowPro bag though. The other Lowpro was quite large heavy and obtrusive when riding.



This one is compact and is unnoticeable when I'm hanging off the bike at 100kph.

Apple Watch Sport: 42mm, Rose Gold aluminium with Stone Sport Band.
I was a bit surprised with the colour he chose for me, but he said it matches my iPhone 6s.
