Question Check out the New Sony Patent Sensor Technology!!

Sony is always pushing the sensor technology and I was thinking organic might be next, but perhaps that is still to soon in the development process. This new multi-exposure dynamic range pixel based sensor is really awesome looking and I bet the video camera industry would be very interested in this type of possible Dynamic range output. Thanks to SonyAlphaRumors for the heads-up.

HDR without multiple exposures pretty much is what this new sensor can do in theory

I thought this tech was already being used by others?

My Samsung Note III has this HDR tech inside as one of the 9 options....I've taken numerous shots using the HDR setting and posted them all over FaceBook.

I think others are using something like this, but not quite the same. I really can't keep up on everything these days honestly, so I apologize for not knowing. This new sensor is on sensor hdr vs multi-exposure hdr most cameras have nowadays. Not sure if your samsung is on sensor or not, but would not be surprised!

    Thanks for the comments
