I found that focusing issues can handled somewhat by disabling Live View Effect.
Goes from way to dark to focus to working fine.
Hey A Mount guys I'm considering purchasing a used a77 to get at the 28-75mm F2.8 SAM lens attached. I'm a a7ii shooter and need a good mid range zoom for a wedding. I'm not to interest in the a77...
I'll pick one up. I know of a iPhone attachment, I'll look into it
Thanks, I got months to work it out. Renting it kind out of the question, you just can't get anything of quality here in Australia.
Can I ask why you choose this setup? I have both the camera and lens but never considered using them together.
How are the results? The a3000 is surprising good, especially for the $300 price tag.
Its a great shot. If you every attempt this again I think you should try to get the bokeh balls inside the glass or overflowing.
I've never used a flash light metre, what does it do?
When working with flashes I tend not to use TTL as it doesn't give me what I desire. I just keep shooting until I find the light balance I'm...
Ar gaffer tape, so massively useful. My video projection set at work is covered in it, or was until I had to move it all.
Thanks Jay. Luck has a lot to do with street photography, right place right time. People ignoring the outside world helps a lot. You every don't any street photography?
Alone in an alley papered by Comicbook plans, ciggy in hand, sittings on a milk crate, stylised glasses and an iPhone. This is the most amount of a Melbourne hipter a person could be. :)
Thanks for the opinion/experience. I'd already decided to go Elinchrom after I did more research and watch some videos on YouTube.
Bouncing light would be possible in the event as the ceilings are...
At least the holidays only last a week :)

This is one of the very first photos I took with my new Zeiss FE 55mm f1.8.
I'm really happy with this lens. Edited in LR5.
We don't get snow at all expect for some very mountain ranges in the coldest parts of winter. The idea of a white Christmas is as much fantasy as Santa. The weather this time of year is great. Its...
I think this is the favorite shot currently posted in this thread. Good Luck.
I really like the use of selective colour here. The red is punchy and yet the monotone doesn't really feel desaturated. Good work
You should try the Zeiss FE 16-35. The OSS works so well. At 1/6 of second you get razor sharp results at both ends of the zoom.
What a beautiful shot. Maybe its just average moment to other but we dont get snow down under.
I took thus photo months ago in a Melbourne CBD alley.
I'm real fond of doing street photography. I have quite a few photos which have this same type of framing. Guess I'm a hack :)

Totally agree with Jay. The last one is by far the best framing. The punchy colour of the umbrella works really well against the naturally desaturated background. Nice capture
Very pretty. I always heard bad things about the SEL30F35, what's your experience?
Well that puts my macro stuff to shame :)
Very good work, natural yet other worldly

I own two macro lenses, a set of close up filters, ~4 reverse macro rings, extension tubes and bellows (never used).
I also have an old Meyer Optik 50mm f1.8 which has a mfd of 30cm.
