Sigma 19mm f/2.8 EX DN Lens and 30mm f/2.8 EX DN Lens Kit

I just got an email about a Killer Sigma Lens Deal!! Two Sigma E-Mount Lenses for the Price of One – The Sigma E-Mount 30mm f/2.8 EX DN Len, and Sigma E-Mount 19mm f/2.8 EX DN LensSo Both lenses for $199!!

I told you it was  a Killer Deal ;) The lenses are being sold as a kit for $199 at BHPhotoVideo (Click Here), are unfortunately back ordered at the moment, but it still worth it in my opinion as Sigma pumps lenses out much faster than Sony!!

Both these lenses are very affordable and sharp with a fast f/2.8 aperture. The do not have Optical Steady shot, but they do offer light weight, good build quality, and sharp performance from corner to corner. Be sure to check out my Real World Review of Both Sigma E-Mount Lenses!!

Wow, thanks for posting! No NEX yet, but might already get the lenses.
By the way, what happened to the Youtube videos?

    • Jay

Yeah, this deal is ridiculously good!! Youtube turned all my videos to private when I changed a setting on my jasonhermannphotography profile which is what I use for youtube. I think I might start using my sonyalphalab profile for youtube to avoid this type of thing. It’s a pain working with multiple profiles.

      Thanks for the comments,

      Jay

    Hi Jay,
Great post! I subscribed your YouTube channel.
You think this lenses good for blur background when shooting video?
Do you have any suggestion what kind of affordable lenses for shooting video with blur background?
Thank you for your respond, I really appreciate.

    • FlavioRoss

The best is the Sony 50mm 1.8. Its a bit more expensive, but is easier to blur the background due the longer focal length and larger aperture. And has OSS to help stabilize handheld videos.
But you probably need a ND filter if you want to use f1.8 at daylight.

      Hi Ronny

FlavioRoss just answered with the exact same lens suggestion I was going to give, Thanks Flavio! ;) The E-Mount 50mm f/1.8 oss lens – SEL50F18 is your best bet for affordability, good separation from the background if your close to your subject, optical steadyshot for smooth video, and silent autofocus.

If you need more zoom the 55-210mm – sel55210 lens, is also an excellent choice for the money, but you will need to zoom in on your focus point while relatively close in order to separate the background with blurr. Easy to do if you move back, but the audio might start to fade if your using on camera.

      I hope that helps,

      Jay
