I went down to the lab the day before yesterday to take all of the product photography for the month of June. The gear for this month consists of the Sony Nex-5n for a camera body, and the LA-EA2 Lens adapter. I also got the very affordable Sony A-Mount DT 35mm f/1.8 Lens to use with the LA-EA2 Lens Adapter and the Nex-5n. In addition to that stuff, I go the extremely hard to come by Sony E-Mount 50mm f/1.8 OSS Lens, which is currently in stock by the way, and both the New Sigma 19mm and 30mm E-Mount Lenses!!
I was hoping to have this up yesterday, but some of the gear had a bit of dust on it and I had to edit that out in Lightroom. Needless to say it took a few hours to do all the photos, but they look so much better perfectly clean!! Some of the gear I get from BHPhotovideo.com is used by other reviewers as well, so it’s not always brand new out of the box and has a little dust from time to time. Not a big deal at all for real world use, but for product photography purposes, it can create a lot of extra work.
In any event, here is all the gear

Closing Remarks
As you can see from these photos the gear looks pretty nice and I’m really excited to try it all out. I had a chance to take a few quick snapshots so far the LA-EA2 lens adapter works incredible well!! The focus is lightning fast with video and photos just like the A57 for example. Amazing add-on for the Nex camera system I must admit and wish I had got it sooner to try!!
Stay tuned for some sample pics and video using all the goods

Hi Jay,
Can you do a round up of accessories for the Nex lineup? There are few but some interesting ones, not from major brands but smaller ones. Something like these-
http://www.gentles.ltd.uk/gentled/
http://www.nexproshop.com/products/shadow-nex-hotshoe-adaptor
Lots of bits & pieces but definitely can fill the missing links. Would be great if such a list can be compiled and put up, really the Nex-c3/5n/7 have so much potential and these accessories can help things a long way
Raghav
Hello Raghav,
I’ll see what I can do. Basically I usually have to call these companies directly as they only sell on Amazon or Ebay for example. The stuff I get from BHPhoto is really easy for me. That Nex-5n Flash/ Hot-shot mount accessory looks awesome!! That other trigger I wasn’t so impressed with to be honest.
I’ll see If I can get one of the flash trigger units as I actually want to use the Nex-5n with my studio lights anyhow and would rather not use the flash to do it
Any other accessories you can think of, please drop a link.
Thanks again for the requests, links, and info!!
Best,
Jay
